Bring curiosity, good manners, and an honest build story.
Read the host’s information
Confirm the date, entry conditions, parking arrangements, and any photography or display rules. Use the organizer’s current information rather than a reposted image that may be out of date. Allow time for check-in without creating pressure to hurry on the road.
Pack for the day you expect
Bring the personal essentials appropriate to the venue and weather. Keep cleaning supplies modest and follow venue rules for their use. Prepare your build information at home rather than handling documents in a crowded parking area. Leave valuable and private records out of the public display.
Make your build card useful
Share the car’s identity, your theme, and a few confirmed changes. Do not invent power figures, performance results, or sponsorships. A show card can celebrate a work in progress. Our printable includes space for the next chapter because a project does not need to be finished to be interesting.
Be the guest people welcome back
Follow the organizer’s directions, respect people and property, and do not use a gathering as a reason to drive dangerously. Ask before touching another car or prominently filming its owner. A community grows through considerate participation, not through escalating stunts.
Turn inspiration into notes
After the event, record the questions you want to research, not just the parts you want to buy. Ask owners about their experience and verify any compatibility claims independently before ordering. Add ideas to My Garage, then decide later which ones fit your own car and budget.
The build budget
Parts, labor, quotes, actual spend, and a little breathing room.
