An image can sell the look. It cannot prove the engineering.
State the real goal
Decide whether you want a visual change, a replacement for a damaged component, or a documented performance function. These are different briefs. A dramatic wing photograph cannot demonstrate aerodynamic performance, and a product name is not independent evidence of downforce.
Ask for documented support
For a performance claim, ask the manufacturer what testing supports it and what configuration and conditions the evidence covers. Do not extend a claim to a different vehicle or installation. The Autobros artwork is decorative and cannot be used to validate product performance.
Confirm the installation requirements
Request the application details, included hardware, instructions, surface or structural requirements, and any exclusions. Have an appropriately qualified professional assess suitability. This guide intentionally provides no mounting, drilling, or structural modification instructions.
Understand the practical tradeoffs
Discuss everyday usability, access, maintenance, clearance, and applicable road-use requirements before ordering. Ask who will handle installation and how any issues will be addressed. Record the complete cost and the return policy, not just the attractive advertised price.
Make the decision from evidence
Save the part number, manufacturer documentation, professional advice, and your reason for choosing it. When the evidence is incomplete, keep the item in research rather than marking it approved. A good-looking idea can remain an inspiration until the details support a purchase.
The build budget
Parts, labor, quotes, actual spend, and a little breathing room.
